SMPlayer does not remember volume setting

SMPlayer behavior change?

when I set the volume high

and close it, when I open it again the volume does not keep the setting

it is intended?

If you open SMplayer without playing anything, it returns to the default volume.

But if you open the file that was previously playing at maximum volume, for example, SMPlayer returns to the volume where it left off.

I also remember in the past (3 year’s ago), to modify SMPlayer how exactly i like it… that it don’t save settings when you close it with the X on the top right.

Instead i had to close it when i click on the register pagen Open>Quit
or crtl+q
