I a having this issue for a few weeks now, when I logged in the my secondary monitor connected to hdmi is black/no desktop I cant even do right click, but I can move apps there.
Its something like this.
But it will show the desktop if I will re-plugged the hdmi cable. Also sometimes after login its just fine but most the time now I have that problem.
Here is my hardware info.

kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

First, install a kernel being still supported like 5.10 LTS or 5.15. The kernel 5.13 is EOL (no longer supported). Afterwards, reboot and remove 5.13.

Anyone have a solution for this? I am on Kernel 5.14.18 with the same issue.
This wont happen if I disable compositor on start up or using xrandr. but xrandr gives me screen tearing.
It seems using OpenGl for the rendering backend cause this issue.
I had this issue after switching Prime Profile to Intel graphic on nvidia x server settings app. reverting Prime Profile to On-Demand solved the issue.

After last updates, the same happen to me. In my case, there was also a problem with Prime.
Running sudo systemctl status optimus-manager
showed me that:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'optimus_manager'
So I reinstalled optimus-manager and run:
sudo systemctl enable optimus-manager
After switching again to Nvidia profile and rebooting, both screens are detected correctly.
