SbK Manjaro Studio initial release. Please test and give feedback

A discussion in the SbK state of the project thread suggested creating a Studio spin similar to what Ubuntu Studio provides. tracyanne has been involved with this and has made it possible to create the spin and provided a list of applications to include. I dont do any of the activities the spin is aimed at providing so I need others to test and give feedback.

The spin is larger that most, at 3.9 gb. But there is still room to add applications if you think they would be a good fit.

I am now asking the Manjaro community to chime in and test the spin and give feedback. You can download the initial release here.

There was a spin a couple of years ago - providing a similar use - maybe you can gain some insight from that.

Thanks aarhus, but it looks like that project focused in on making openbox, and later Xfce more usable. At present this spin uses LXQt because of its low resource requirements. I am more focused on the software lineup and how to installed software is working.

My intention was only to hint along to possible applications - nothing more.

I haven’t had a chance to install the release, yet. Bushfire season ahs started early, with a fire about 10 Ks away, So I’ve been busy, making sure we will be safe if, or when, a fire goes through our property.

Protecting people and property is more important than creating a new spin. I had hoped other prospective users would have tested it and given feedback in, but it didnt happen. aarhus posted and I was happy to see a reply. Over the time I have been making spins he has been a fantastic help.

But I am also busy right now getting the SbK Manjaro 1025 series done. So this will be on the back burner at least till next month.
