After installing the latest set of stable updates (around January 15th), onboard wifi on my Lenovo E580 is no longer working properly. It is briefly connecting, then getting “authorization supplicant timed out” and deactivating the connection. On some networks it refuses to connect and says that the key/pass is not correct (the wifi passes have not changed and do not work when re-entered).
I have tried the following with no changes:
- moving from kernel 6.12 → 6.18
- disabling MAC randomization in NetworkManager
- setting pcie_aspm=off
- setting [connection] wifi.powersave = 2 in NetworkManager
Wifi had been working flawlessly on this machine for the past year until this recent update.
