So, I just installed a Radeon RX 5600 XT on my PC, before that I was using the iGPU (Vega 11) from my CPU, a Ryzen 5 3400G.
It booted with no problems that I could see, but, when I tried playing some games, the performance was horrible, for example, Ori and the will of the wisps was supposed to be able to run with 100+ fps, but I’m stuck with +/- 35 FPS.
I already searched everywhere for a solution but nothing worked.
I’m new here so I don’t know what data would be helpful, so please let me know and I will provide it ASAP.
Thanks!
Hello,
Is your Monitor connected to the dGPU (dedicated GPU and not the discrete one) … In some cases you either disable the iGPU from BIOS, or go with something like:
DRI_PRIME=1 <command>
to use the dGPU …
Also, make sure you actually use the AMDGPU drivers and not the Radeon drivers.
Follow this [HowTo] Provide System Information and share that information here, so we have more context.

So, after a lot of testing I got a workaround.
After I turn the PC on, I first open Trackmania 2020 and enter any map. After this every other game that I play will have the correct performance.
I don’t know if it will work with any other game, but I think this could give a clue to the problem.
