That kernel is EOL = end of life. Switch to newer kernel.
For hybrid AMD/Nvidia GPUs laptops you need to install video-hybrid-amd-nvidia-prime

My laptop is an Asus TUF FX505 which has two graphic cards - an AMD integrated and an Nvidia 1650. Connecting an external monitor to my HDMI port shows a black screen. I think the display is detected though as the settings app shows the “join, mirror, single display” options. But they dont have any effect. Just a black screen on the external monitor. Here are some details.
