Playback and video not working

Recently when I try to watch any video on Youtube with either Chrome or Firefox, it won’t load and shows the message “If playback doesn’t begin shortly, try restarting your device” instead.

I notice it’s not just Youtube. Netflix and even my Spotify music won’t load either. And when I play local videos with VLC, there is video but no audio at all.

I’ve tried rebooting and it seems that Spotify and VLC work fine when the system starts, but as soon as I go to any streaming site everything breaks again.

I have no idea what causes the problem and I’m not even sure what the problem is (if it’s just audio, why isn’t Youtube or Netflix loading?), so I have no clue where to start looking.
I’ve tried switching back to the stable branch but the problem remains. Also, I have Windows installed on my other disk and when I boost into Windows, everything works fine so I guess it’s not a hardware problem.

Please help!

its probably pulse/pipewire issue… install this package: manjaro-pipewire - it will give you dependency issues, so uninstall them first, then instal again the manjaro-pipewire package, reboot and check
