Panel missing & unresponsive Super key after update

After installing the latest update, I can’t see my panel anymore (all I can see is my wallpaper) and the super and fn keys are non functional. I can use alt + space to launch apps, but this is making my computer really hard to use. This is on KDE on all of my installed kernels (5.8, 5.7 and 5.4)

Can somebody help me out? I’ve already tried with pamac install plasma, and running killall plasmashell, removing the calendar plasmoid and clearing the KDE cache, but all to no avail

First lets be sure you got all the updates:

sudo pacman-mirrors -f && sudo pacman -Syyu

Thank your for your reply, just ran the command and my system is up to date, no new updates are available

Mk.
Maybe we can get an idea from something like

journalctl -x -p3 -b1

This may be relevant:

Sorry for the delay, power was out for most of the day. This is the output for the command:

Hello, thank you for your reply:

I don’t use that widget, still I used the command you provided to delete it, but unfortunately it didn’t work

Occasionally same symptoms here, but not only after updates.
This works for me:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KDE#Clean_cache_to_resolve_upgrade_problems

Thank you for your reply. I just tried it and it didn’t work

Well, I solved it by switching to the XFCE version. Hopefully a future update will solve the issue and I can switch back

I’ve had this happen on a few occasions. the answer for me was simply to add a new panel, replacing the one which went AWOL.
