Pamac text is missing

I usually manage my updates via CLI, but the other day I had to use Pamac. When I opened up Pamac, the text was missing. I quickly discovered that the text would show up once my mouse hovered over it. Any idea how to fix it?

Looks like a window manager issue. By hovering over do you mean just hover or do you mean highlight? If it is the latter, I’d check your settings to change it to dark mode or change the text color.

Found the culprit: Had to uninstall gtk3-nocsd. Of course it now disables the KWin titlebar and renders that ugly one, but at least the text issue is gone. I’ll put up with GTK’s CSD for now as it’s no big deal.

Replace pamac-gtk with pamac-gtk3. Had the same issue on my mate after the recent update.

Mate, package manager is light on Dark mode?

Could be the pamac-gtk is installed - try replacing with pamac-gtk3

pamac-gtk3 is an older design than pamac-gtk. GTK4 is currently only used by GNOME and GNOME applications. If you’re on XFCE, Cinnamon, MATE, Budgie or even Plasma (which is not GTK-based), then you’re better off with pamac-gtk3.
