Optimize manjaro gnome performance

Hi guys, I’m running the manjaro phavo gnome version on my laptop. Everything seems to be working fine. but my laptop is getting hot with only 2 firefox tabs. I already installed tlp but it seems it didn’t help.

any suggestions?

Edit: by installing normal firefox and thermald it seems that the performance has improved a bit

first please read this and let us know more about your machine:

Have you tested it also with stable firefox?
On my side massive disk io cause also an high ‘Load’. You can have a look to ‘disk io’ through htop too.
And if the Laptop is an older one dirt can also cause thermal issues.

CPU usage is too high. Perhaps the Firefox Developer isn’t optimized for some intensive Javascript

But thats not exactly what I mean by more infomation. I mean type
