One of two monitors not working

I mentioned that it worked when I live booted Nobara 38, another distro.
Currently I’m on a live boot of Nobara and both monitors work.

I’m gonna etch the Manjaro iso to my usb, and get back to you on a live boot of that.

Apologies then. I though for a moment or two that is the name of the new Manjaro release, just now remembered that it’s actually Ultima Thule

:+1:

Ok, I’m on the GNOME version of Manjaro, booted up using Open Source Drivers, and the second monitor gets detected, but it’s a black screen. I can mouse over it an see the cursor, but other than that, nothing.

Edit:
Booted up on propiretary drivers now, the display doesn’t get detected.

Well, that’s something then. Can you put a background on?

And then, please post the previous outputs again:

I can’t do anything on the second screen. I can drag windows over it, and interact with them blindly, but they don’t show up over there.

I mean’ they DO show up, but I can’t see them. lol

The same. What driver did you boot with? Open-source or proprietary?

I booted up on open source, because on proprietary:

OK, I’m officially stumped. I don’t know what it could be, if it’s not some kind of hardware-related issue…

Sorry!

:sob:

Yeah, I’d also say that it’s a hardware issue, but that doesn’t explain it working on Nobara 38 or Windows.

Don’t worry about it, this PC is a mortal enemy of mine.

Hello again, after some time of hopping distros, I came to a conclusion that the monitor problem was a GNOME issue. I’m now using the KDE Plasma version, and everything works fine with no tweaking needed. So, if anyone faces the same issue, steer away from GNOME!
