No sound on Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 3

Hello everyone,

I just installed Manjaro i3 on my Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 3, and, to my surprise, the thing that’s not working is the audio and the sound.

The “status bar” icon shows a muted icon, and alsamixer doesn’t show any levels on anything.

Alsamixer:

I tried to search the internet, but I can’t find anything. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Screenshot of alsamixer appears to be showing controls for HDMI audio outputs from the nVidia GPU
which would be the first audio device (Card 0)

Use F6 to see list of available cards in alsamixer . The onboard audio device for analog audio is probably Card 1

or use this command to see controls for the onboard analog audio device

alsamixer --card=1

Hi, I have the same Issue.

alsamixer --card=1
ungültige Karten-Nummer: 1

meens “invalid card number”.

F6 in alsamixer shows no Card.
