Without any informations as to what packages you installed, this does tell us nothing.
If there were no problems before installing “a few things” - remove them again to see if the problem is going away.
There is no such thing as an incompatibility between a microcode package and a kernel.
This does indicate a successful boot but with problems regarding graphics drivers and/or display manager.
I don’t think intel-ucode is responsible, but if you’re in doubt, just remove it again.
