NetworkManager not listing wifi card

Hi, I’m a little bit of a newbie to Linux so the solution might be obvious. So I recently installed Manjaro KDE Plasma edition on my machine, but I ran into the problem of not being able to connect to WiFi. I tried connecting using Network Manager in terminal however it did not appear to detect my WiFi card. However, looking at the output of lspci -k, it appears that the WiFi drivers are installed and loaded. I really don’t know what the problem is here, I even tried using other programs such as wpa_supplicant and iwd. again, please forgive me if the solution is simple.

Output of lspci -k

[manjaro@manjaro ~]$ lspci -k

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

  1. Your lspci -k doesn’t show any WiFi drivers having been loaded, so please read this:
    How to provide good information
and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.

:+1:

P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you’re using, which exact CPU/GPU or Kernel, … you have without typing it every time

Thanks for the advice, I’ll take that into account for the future. I also updated my profile to show some of my system information. Here is the output of the command:

It’s this card: https://linux-hardware.org/?id=pci:8086-2725-1a56-1674

And as mentioned there… you need at least kernel 5.12 and above for this card since it is is very new. Upgrade the kernel:

sudo mhwd-kernel --install linux513

Restart and choose the Kernel on the Grub Boot Loader.

Just a side note: Stable kernels which are not Long Time Support (=LTS), go End-Of-Life(=EOL) after 3 months, don’t miss the point to change since it can end up with black screen.

P.S. Kernel 5.12 is already EOL

Thanks for the solution, everything works now. I guess it was kind of a simple solution sorry about that.
