Missing panel at start - plasmashell errors

Hi all, I’m new on Manjaro
I did a clean install from latest release. In the live system everything worked great.
Now I am always missing the panel if I’m rebooting or log off and on again.

I found a workaround to get it fixed, using

killall plasmashell

and restart it with

plasmashell

again.

While doing this, I get tons of errors and I don’t know how to fix it.

Hello,

Use this command from terminal to update everything and reinstall (in case something got broken) KDE Plasma related packages:

sudo pacman-mirrors -f && sudo pacman -Syyu plasma-desktop plasma-framework kf5 qt5-base

Reboot after that, add a new panel if is missing, check Desktop Session to start with an Empty Session, reboot again and see if the Panel is loading, then you can change back the session if you prefer to load the saved session …

What if you create a new user and test?

Crazy thing is: everything is running perfect after killing and restarting Plasmashell.

I guess that makes it system-wide rather than user-config.
But it doesnt rule out bad software installation or similar.

kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell </dev/null &>/dev/null &

Funny thing is, I have another workaround, that works pretty good. And I think this could be helpful to find the root of the error.
Manjaro is running on my laptop, which is in a docking station below my desk (closed). Yesterday I worked a bit on the couch and - surprise - panels are here. So I checked that the panels are only missing when the laptop is closed and only the external monitor is on.
After log in, no panels - open the laptop and close it again: here are the panels.

But this is not really satisfying. But I hope this helps you to get an idea what I could do.
PS: I tried all different settings in the Monitor settings (don’t know how it is called in English exactly)

Did another clean install, via DVD.
Checked everything twice and it is still the same error. Looking like Manjaro and my laptop won’t be friends. I’ll try another OS now.

I have exactly the same problem as you do. And I can confirm that it has something to do with a docking station and an external monitor because I have a similar setup. Sometimes there is no panel when starting the laptop only, but it is never there when starting with the docking station and the external monitor…

I got this error on one install of Manjaro KDE and I got it again after a fresh install, too.

Have you found a solution yet? I would really appreciate it! Because now I do

Having similar issue, widgets just don’t start. However they were starting in the previous boot.
