When you start Lutris does it download something? Check network activity.
Yes, it increases network usage. But, yesterday I left it during the night, but nothing happened.

PS: don’t install stuff randomly in Lutris this is not needed to start it and will most likely complicate troubleshooting as you will probably break more stuff than fixing anything.
It does have a reason for that install, I found it on a Lutris forum.
