I remember the first time I met with Manjaro linux (around 2015ish) , and there was a very good looking wallpaper artwork of Kilimanjaro that I think you guys made, but I can’t find it anywhere. I stumbled upon an old removed github repo, and tried to crawl its webarchive to no avail, but I believe the image I’m looking for is there. Any chance you guys have safely archived those wallpapers back from the “olden-eras” (all of them), and if yes would you be so kind to share?
/Sits down to recall and meditate through time and space on the waves of old memories, where the weaves of fate twist and unwind, pulling fragments of the past, present, and future into a single, timeless thread of sands.
There was recently a thread here, where a kind of a challenge was proposed:
could you install that old original version of Manjaro
and proceed to successfully update it to end up with a current, up to date, Manjaro?
You’ll find it if you look.
The old ISO was linked - perhaps it does have the stuff you are looking for?
(it’s way older than ~2015 …)
Nice ty I fell insta love with this one, looks cozy + tech-y
Thanks to the other guys aswell, unfortunately the gitlab repos didn’t had the one I was looking for. @Nachlese I did my best, but couldn’t find neither that thread nor those older iso-s, but you might be right, wallpaper I’m looking for is somewhere out there :3 I will keep going on with the hunt
It (the thread I mentioned) might have been visible for staff only - I don’t recall.
I may link you to the ISO mentioned when I find it - or I may not.
As it might have not been meant to be for “public” access.
That ISO predates 2015 by a significant margin …
… all that for a picture that (at least: I) will rarely even ever see
any program you open will hide it, make it disappear …
I did like the background of the Debian derivative Xebian.
a dark reddish pattern
but it only fits well with the overall color theme of everyting else
It’ll look like a sore thumb on an otherwise greenish Manjaro theme.
