I just installed manjaro to a Dell G15 laptop.
On boot the login screen does not appear. If I switch to tty2 and than back to tty1, the login screen apperas.
I found similar problems in the forum, but did not managed to find a solution for my setup.
Please post output of inxi -Fazy --filter

What happens if you just wait without switching to tty?

I waited for a few minutes. It just hangs.

Did you try switching to exclusive proprietary and/or using PRIME or Optimus?
I just bought a new Dell G15, installed Manjaro Gnome from the latest iso using the entire disk, deleteing all particions.
The installaion went throught, but on restarting the system hangs on the Dell logo for minutes. If I switch it off, a manjaro logo comes up below the Dell logo for a second.
I reinstalled Manjaro just in case, but it is the same.

not yet. I was not clear what should I set up here.
Actually I can not change anything here.

It looks like it’s already installed (PRIME for the Nvidia and Intel GPUs, dGPU and iGPU respectively.)

Can you also add i915 to the MODULES array in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
then rebuild the initramfs with mkinicpio -P
?
Another thing to try is to reconfigure/reinstall GDM.

Adding i915 to the modules solved the issue.
Thank you so much.

Welcome! Good luck going forwards with your daily usage of the hybrid graphics (Nvidia dGPU + Intel iGPU). I intentionally avoid such systems, personally, so I can only defer to others who use them regularly when it comes to gaming, performance, battery life, etc.
I err towards Intel-only for laptop , and Nvidia-only for desktop / sheer performance. I’ve read too many mixed stories about Nvidia/Intel hybrid laptops.
