Kernel 5.10.7 freezes after some time -- NOT nvidia related

Good morning,

Since the kernel 5.9 is marked as end of life, I installed 5.10 as well. When I boot on 5.10.7 (I did the last stable update), it often freezes completely after a while, nothing works including ctrl-alt-fX, the music loops over a few seconds, closing the lid doesn’t do anything, and the fan ramps up after a while. The only thing I can do is push on the power button for a long time. I do not have nvidia drivers or an nvidia card, so that’s not it either. It seems similar to Kernel 5.10 panic (maybe nvidia related) but the log seems completely different.

Here is the relevant time from the output from journalctl -p 3, the suspend line probably comes from closing the lid, and the wpa_supplicant lines are something that often appears on my laptop so they are probably unrelated.

jan 23 11:18:53 Nightingale wpa_supplicant[756]: nl80211: Failed to create a P2P Device interface p2p-dev-wlp0s20f3

Is this a known issue? Can it be fixed or is it (for now) linked to an unstable kernel and I should just boot on 5.9?

Here is some more stuff that may or may not be useful:

Kernel 5.10 is unstable at the moment, there are a few posts about this.
Install 5.4 LTS for the time being.

Yeah, apparently lots of people we are having the same problem, with very different HWs. LTS kernel works fine at the moment.

the same issue
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-freezes-randomly-everytime/50364
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-freezes-several-times-a-day/50389
In both the posts Intel graphics and kernel 5.10 is mentioned, maybe the new kernel breaks with Intel graphics

Might be related to my problem

So I am not the only one

Thanks, I’ll just avoid 5.10 for now then, good to know.
