Is KDE Slower Than Linux Mint Cinnamon or Am I doing something wrong?

I just switched from Linux Mint to Manjaro. However, it feels extremely slow and sluggish. Even opening the file manager sometimes takes a long time.

Please tell me what can I do to speed it up? Also, how do I post system info here? I am running a Ryzen 1700

Check if baloo is the reason by

balooctl check
balooctl disable
nano --backup ~/.config/baloofilerc
balooctl purge
balooctl enable

Alright. I will check. Also, how do I post system information?

Why asking the same question twice when was answered in the provided link? Please read that and do accordingly.

There are reasons why we actually use

I would say, same as @Wollie, that you check baloo service.

But seeing your specs, I would also like to recommend that you add a SSD to your machine (NVMe if possible) for the OS. Then you are going to feel quite an improvement.

It was most likely the file indexer. Thank you.
