Is it possible to have 1 Nvidia and 1 AMD GPU on the same system?

I’m primarily using Linux for work, sometimes gaming. For gaming, I would like to keep my 6600 XT, but for work, it’s sometimes required to have CUDA capability. So I wonder if it’s possible to have both GPUs in my system and switch between them for different tasks.

It was also two years ago and a lot has changed since then. So it might be a gamble…

Would it be possible to have 2 separate systems/installs and then share the same home directory? That way you could boot into Nvidia or AMD system but still have the same home directory

I don’t think you need two separate installs.
I think a creative combination of Isolating the GPU and nouveau & nvidia-drivers switching shoud do it.

Just two grub-entries, which isolating the unwanted gpu and load right drivers and copy the needed config files.

I think it could work that way…but maybe there’s an more elegant approach.
