Do you cook? If you are cooking risotto for the very first time do you just throw in random ingredients and hope risotto comes out? And if it doesn’t, just pick another few random ingredients and repeat? Or do you maybe read a recipe?

Im glad you brought that analogy up … Linux guides share another feature synonymous with recipes … There are tons of them … Tons!!! They all share a similar flavor … But end up with different results.

The amount of guides I have followed that have ended up causing more issues than I started with is thru the roof.

The main problem I find is not being able to keep up with “which guide is current” or even relevant sometimes … The pace that Linux in general moves compared to other Os`s is hard to keep up with sometimes.
