I have no sound from laptop speakers

first code.

i have used linux for over 10 years (linux mint), and recently got a new computer asus zenbook).

linuxmint has many issues to get it running properly (sound, hdmi related), and on the internet i saw recommendations on using manjaro for this computer.

i am currently testing it on a livedisk, and get no sound from the built in speakers, but the headphones work.

below is my system details:

what should i do ?

thank you

Have you asked for help on Linux Mint forum ?
they have a good expert (Mr Een) for troubleshooting audio
If you have Linux Mint installed you should get a full ALSA diagnostic from installed OS
sudo alsa-info.sh --upload
and post the link to the ALSA data to Mint forum

You could run the same ALSA diagnostic on the Manjaro ISO and post it here
but it may not be possible to add a fix or workaround to the live ISO
and audio hardware may work better once OS is installed and updated

nikgnomic, thank you for your suggestion.

yes, MrEen did hel me a lot and got sound working, but internal mike and hdmi ooutput did not work.
so i came to try an arch distro instead.

i have installed the Manjaro OS, and am now facing a problem booting into it, which i have posted on the installation sub forum

tks
