I can't get the dialer to work

I have a Pinephone Pro. It takes a Nano SIM. I put one in. It’s from Public Mobile, which is an offshoot of Telus. I followed the instructions here to set up the APN: PinePhone APN Settings - PINE64

It seems fine, but I cannot use the dialler. I’ll try to dial a number, but it does not go through. Texting, on the other hand, does work (via the Spacebar program).

Did you tried if Phosh works for your? You can do that also from a microSD card: Releases · manjaro-pinephone/phosh · GitHub

I have Mobian, which is Phosh, installed on a Micro SD card. I’ve had less luck getting the phone in working order on it.
