This is a very vage description and it will be virtually impossible to reconstruct what happened based on that. If you did not record the exact errors and logs, the only thing you can do now is to boot from a live usb and start collecting and posting info (like inxi and lsblk) and maybe someone could deduct what once was based on the current state.
