Drivers for this printer are in capt-src package in AUR. Installing them should solve the problem.

pamac build capt-src

@Sjostrand
unfortunately, just installing that will not be quite enough
It requires some setup work on top of that.

Canon CAPT - ArchWiki

When pasting terminal output, highlight it and use the Preformatted text </> button.

Alternatively, add three backticks ` above and below the text:

Please edit your post accordingly.

Hello and sorry for the long respond

the “pamac build capt-src” was successful but i still got error when it comes to communication with printer. Manjaro fins the printer and adds it and Cups are running but still no luck

As I previously said, along with a link to the Arch wiki:

In another thread I described the whole procedure:

How to use the LBP 2900 on manjaro linux XFCE version? - #11 by Nachlese

Hi

I did setup the printer through cups web interface and all is set correctly but still nothing when it comes too communicate through usb!

Cups auto detects the printer Canon LBP 6200 but when sending print nothing happens!

exactly - I know
some more work is necessary - as I said
The Arch wiki specifically states that the setup through the Cups interface simply does not work.
Another daemon is involved (ccpd.service).
I linked you to the procedure …

it did not Work and i did follow it to the letter

so sorry (for you)
it (obviously) did work for me

start from scratch?

Do you know, for a fact, that your printer does work?

Yes in windows and ubuntu works fine but not in Manjaro

The interesting part is that cpups are running and CAPT also.
The USB connection is there too

But is like after few sec the print system lose communication somehow

I wounder if i may need guttenprint system

if you have a working Ubuntu configuration for that printer - can’t you just take (copy) the relevant files?
or at least compare them with the corresponding ones you have in Manjaro?
look for possible differences that might be the issue?

… perhaps it is a power saving issue?
disable TLP - if it is active - or exclude the printer (USB) if it isn’t already ,

to be perfectly clear and honest:
it did work for me in Debian and Mint - and it does in Arch.
I run Arch (installed via Archlabs installer) - not Manjaro.
It should not make a lick of difference here - but sometimes this indeed does.
… that’s why I don’t run Manjaro

that printer needs the ccpd daemon - it talks to Cups, Cups talks to it.
No way around that.
Canon made it this way.

It’s not a matter of ppd files.
Gutenprint (after Gutenberg, “inventor” of the book print press a few hundred years ago) will not help.

Okej

How disable TLP ?? in terminal

There is a program called tlpui
This is a graphical frontend to configure tlp.

Check first if you even have tlp.service and whether it is active.
systemctl status tlp.service

You can disable it entirely:
systemctl stop tlp.service
systemctl disable tlp.service

or configure it via editing the config files
or via using tlp-ui to do the same (the “easier” method)

LBP6200

LBP6200 (Processing, Accepting Jobs, Not Shared, Server Default)

Description: Canon LBP6200
Location: AMDRyzen
Driver: Canon LBP6200 CAPT (JP) (grayscale, 2-sided printing)
Connection: usb://Canon/LBP6200?serial=0000A1E29Nx8
Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=na_letter_8.5x11in sides=one-sided

hmm - does that mean it works now for you?
would be nice …

Unfortunately Not, thats what make me confuse because settings are correct

I don’t know if “disable” also implies “stop”
so:
stop it
disable it
or the other way around
it should not be running/be active
systemctl status tlp.service

or tell it to not power save for USB and/or printer devices - if you don’t want to disable power savings alltogether by completely disabling it
