How to install a working optimus-manager or a system76 power to switch between graphics

I am a newbie to Manjaro and still learning from its awesome wiki.
I use a Manjaro Gnome 21 dual booted with windows 10 and it is working fantastically .
I just have one issue though.
I want to have a working system with switchable graphics. I have tried using optimus manager but without success. Also, someone guided me to use System76 power. How to install it? and does it work properly.
I need help in rectifying this.

Anyway, thanks to the Manjaro Team for this awesome distro.

you can read here

i would have helped more, but i use KDE and i see there are special instructions for Gnome that i didn’t have to go through.

at the end of the page there’s a section about optimus manager-qt which gives a panel icon to easily switch between Gpus (after you’ve installed optimus manager.)

I installed using the guide but I keep getting a message that I am not using gdm-prime while I am using it. How to fix it?

Hello,

Please do not cross-posts
If you build/installed gdm-prime from AUR please make sure you also had the system updated and rebooted. Share your system information as described here How to provide good information and the exact errors you get.

I apologize for my mistake for cross-posting. I have installed gdm-prime from AUR and rebooted my system, then I also installed the optimus manager extension for Gnome and tested switching the graphics. It is working perfectly fine
I just have one issue, that I get a notification from time to time that I am not using gdm-prime. It does not affect my work at all but I just wanted to know about the reason and remove the issue.
Thank you for your response and your link on how to give proper information about the system.
