After the update, my password for my user completely stopped working-- in the gui and terminal. No change was made, can’t update any packages via pacman because of this. What gives? My DE is KDE Plasma 5.26.5, which I am running on the Framework laptop.

Thanks for the help-- as the machine I am using is my primary device, I had to give up and timeshift back to an earlier point in time, which solved my issue. It sucks that this happened, but it’s great that I have the option to revert. Thanks for all the help.

your regular user or the root password? also what process did you use to update?

Someone else mentioned something similar in another recent post. Background info needed for both this and that.
