Hdmi port And Microphone not Working ! hybrid gpu

Hello everyone, first of all, forgive me for my poor English
Until today, when I decided to post in the forum, it has been more than a year since I researched in different forums under different titles to solve this problem, but apparently no one on the planet has installed such a laptop model of Linux that solves these problems. He has experienced it, of course, maybe!! :))

Laptop model: acer aspire v15 nitro (( vn7-592g-71dc ))
my hybrid gpu => nvidia 960m && intel 530

Problem: As I mentioned in the title of the post, after installing the operating system, the HDMI port does not work, along with the fact that the sound card does not recognize any microphone!
After many searches in the Arch Linux forum, I found a series of models that had similar hardware, and the titles of the problems that were stated were similar!

archlinux. org/title/ Laptop/ Acer

Nitro VN7-792G-751Y 2016-12-01 Partial Partial Yes Yes Yes Yes HDMI and Microphone do not work

I tried many solutions that can be tested on the internet, unfortunately, I did not get the result! I am happy to solve this problem once and for all so that many people like me will be freed from this problem
Thank you in advance for your cooperation

hello xlord,
i read only “acer and hdmi” and already recognized that you’re not running nvidia in permanent and for this reason it does not work. that said from an acer-predator user that had the same issue. but before please give us the following basic informations. post the output of

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

and

echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE

and

glxinfo | egrep -i server

if the app “glxinfo” is not installed install the package “mesa-utils” to run the command
and use the described formatting rules of the forum that are described below, otherwise it’s a pain to struggle with

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

  1. Please read this:
    [HowTo] Provide System Information
and press the three dots below your post and press the :pencil2: to give us more information so we can see what’s really going on.
Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.

Hello again !
During this time, I really didn’t have the motivation to reinstall Manjaro because I have installed it more than 170 times and I had to delete it because I didn’t get the result, but when you love something, you have no choice but to retest! :))
These are the intended outputs

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

Please put me out of this despair :frowning: Thank you

the intel-driver cannot access the hdmi-port. first install “optimus-manager” from package-manager. DO NOT SWITCH ANYTHING ! Just install it and post the output of

systemctl status optimus-manager

after this step we can proceed to switch but this step by step. give a reply

here you are

Friends, do you have any comments regarding this problem?

edit GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=" with sudo

and add the following to the existing entries
optimus-manager.startup=nvidia nvidia_drm.modeset=1

sudo update-grub
sudo mkinitcpio -P

after reboot
sudo systemctl enable nvidia-persistenced

and your external monitor ? from here it is not physical attached and turned off

After connecting the monitor to the laptop, the monitor remains off and does not turn on.

turn it on, go to system settings → display and activate the display

The monitor is on, but no monitor is displayed in the settings!

leave the external on, try a reboot and check again. to be honest from here it is just a question of the system settings ! your external display is working. there is only one possibilty that the hdmi-cable wouldn’t match the hardware-version, but that is rare.

I have repeated this but it didn’t work even after restarting the system!
When I try Windows with the same cable, Mintor turns on and shows the image!
In addition to the monitor, the system microphone also does not work and was not recognized!

check your system settings !!!

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you mean by settings! In the screen settings, when the second monitor is not specified, no settings are displayed for it! On the Ubuntu operating system, when the system boots, the monitor turns on for only a few seconds and the system logs are displayed, and then nothing is displayed again like now.
