i read only “acer and hdmi” and already recognized that you’re not running nvidia in permanent and for this reason it does not work. that said from an acer-predator user that had the same issue. but before please give us the following basic informations. post the output of
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
and
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
and
glxinfo | egrep -i server
if the app “glxinfo” is not installed install the package “mesa-utils” to run the command
and use the described formatting rules of the forum that are described below, otherwise it’s a pain to struggle with

Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
- An
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --widthwould be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
