Hanging On Shutdown: umount /oldroot/sys: target is busy

Three posts that might be relevant, the most promising first
Look for the solution in the 2nd post : Possible 2 Min delay on shutdown with Gnome

Another candidate:

I remember having some error like this to, can’t find how I solved it tho, but it had something to do with adding an extra option to hooks /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
My hooks:
HOOKS="base shutdown udev autodetect modconf block keyboard keymap plymouth filesystems"

It could be the shutdown option as mentioned in one of the posts on the arch linux forum.

One other that could be a solution

oh and welcome to the forum, I almost forgot
