Right I am running Manjaro via EFI now but there is another issue that has popped up after I deleted the ubuntu MBR file:
How did this happen?
Boot to normal system, update GRUB again. Reboot, give output of efibootmgr

“is on” Can you give more details, in terms of EFI boot entry, partition, etc.
Can you explain what was deleted and the steps?
