Glibc_eac fails validity check

After installing linux as my daily driver recently i wanted to play sea of thieves. Because it didnt start properly i looked it up on protonDB. Someone there wrote that for it to run with eac i need to install glibc-eac. when using yay with the give flags i get the error

i also tried installing it locally but it still doesnt pass the validity checks. when using updpkgsums (from this post) it does acctually go futhen than before but it will get stuck entering and leaving the same folders from the repo.
When building it from a different repo (github, 1, 2) it does the same.
Any ideas?

use makepkg without option --nocheck
run updpkgsums

I did not run the complete compilation - I interrupted it in the check phase

Building it now.
Ill have to see if it works cause it takes some time …

Seems to load just fine.

Can’t connect to servers though currently to fully confirm I don’t get kicked because of EAC not working.

If i dont need glibc-eac then i guess it has to do something with proton. I get the game to open but it just gets stuck in the loading screen.
When using Mangohud it just has a very hight tpf.
I get to the main menu when using the hotfix version of proton in steam.

What is 100% sure is that you don’t need it to reach the menu, to login, to buy in the emporium, and to start loading to the game server, I don’t need it I just tested.

I’m using the current Proton 8 version from Steam.
I don’t know what a “hotfix version” of Proton is.
I don’t know what a TPF is in MangoHud.

The Hotfix version of proton is a version when minor patches get pushed, that dont require a whole version of experimental.
What i ment by TPF was TimePerFrame, because it get like Max 3secs between each frame when starting.
Ill try it with Proton 8 again a keep you updated

Don’t forget to delete the prefix at ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1172620/ if you messed with other Proton version so you start on a clean Proton 8 prefix. Check your game files too.

//EDIT: I played a long session without any issue, just to confirm EAC works as intended without installing the AUR patched version of a system component, all default here. I would advise to reset your changes and work on the issue.
