Fresh install install of stable Manjaro Gnome shows white screen "Oh no! Something went wrong"

It works great live from USB, and with a completely default install (I tried not changing a single option except timezone and password) I get this error on boot. I read that it comes from Gnome. I tried installing the xfce version and that went fine, but I would like to get the gnome version running.

How do I debug this? I tried pressing ctrl+alt+everything hoping to get to a terminal and nothing happened

Upon reinstalling for the 4th time (after trying xfce), same usb, same iso, same settings, it just works. No idea why. Fingers crossed
