Firefox does not give me a window when launched

Firefox problem.
xfce.
Firefox does not give me a window when launched. Sometimes it takes a while and I get a window. Sometimes I give up and kill the process. I always have multiple processes of firefox running after I start it even if it does not have any windows.
A lot of time I get a popup dialog that I have a firefox process running already.
One of the firefox processes are <defunct>.

DKMS is currently broken as our kernels got compiled against an older gcc

Since the last stable update provided an older toolchain our kernels and binaries got compiled against GCC 12.2.0-1. A similar issue was already posted…

xdg-desktop-portal-gnome has an issue in 44.1 on non-gnome desktops. You can revert back to 43.1 and it should fix the issue.

If you arent on gnome … why would you want xdg-desktop-portal-gnome ?

Unless you are running Flatpaks, you can do without it on non-Gnome desktops. xdg-desktop-portal-gnome replaces xdg-desktop-portal-gtk <1.10.0.
