There is no fingerprint reader detected here
I am using Asus Vivobook gaming f571gt
Hi @Canzoni , and welcome!
While i do not use, or even have, a finger print reader, and will most certainly not be able to help you, maybe you can get more info here:
Just installed Manjaro xfce on my ThinkPad T14 AMD! First time running linux.
I’m trying to setup fingerprint login. I installed fprint, added ‘auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so’ to etc/pam.d/system-local-login, ran fprintd-enroll. Restarted, no option for fingerprint login, only password.
Now I’m trying fingerprint-gui, pacman can’t even find it…I get ‘error: target not found: fingerprint-gui’
Any help is appreciated!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha and I have been trying to be able to login with my fingerprint with no avail. I heard that Manjaro natively supported fingerprint login but I didn’t see any option for it.
Is this the right place to ask this?

Thanks @Aragorn , can you tell me any steps to make my finger print reader readable
No, I can’t, sorry. My only involvement with this thread is that I’ve moved it to the proper forum category.

The best teacher I’ve come across is actually 2:
Time with experience; and
neccesity.
The best way in my opinion is to not give yourself an easy way out. And not to quit. I’ve fallen in both traps myself, so I’m talking from experience…
Edit:
Understatement of thee year.
