I have tried everything to fix it, using another USB, formatting my USB, reinstalling the manjaro ISO, Using the manjaro ISO of GNOME, KDE Plasma, XFCE and Cinnamon, Using rufus, ventoy and etcher, checking the integrity of the iso to see if it was correct but whatever I do it always gives the same error and I highly doubt it is my hardware because a few months ago I could install manjaro with kde plasma and it is not my USB either because I could install several distros without problem.

Here is the information of my hardware in question:

By the way, I had to remove it from my previous distribution because the Manjaro live USB gives me several problems when running programs [especially KDE plasma and Cinnamon, it just shows me a black screen and the installer]

PS: I used a translator so forgive me if there are one or more misspelled words.

Have you disabled Secure boot in your firmware? This is required for a standard installation.

This is just an information and can me ignored.

If you want to get rid of the message, run

sudo sbctl create-keys

This does not in any way enable or configure secure boot - it is just generating a key to be used - should you later decide to implement secure boot.

[INFO] What is it with Secure Boot, why is it not supported OOB?

It is not relevant when your GPU is an integrated Intel GPU as your inxi shows

I have no idea as to why the message appear :man_shrugging: but since it appears just
after the Running build hook: [kms] message it could be related to the hook.

Manjaro Linux default to use kms and it is thus possible that your system is not happy about it.

Edit /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, scroll down to the HOOKS= and remove kms - then rebuild init using

sudo mkinitcpio -P

Then, by definition, it must already be fixed.

As mentioned aboove, the most likely is that SecureBoot needs to be disabled in BIOS; why it was magically re-enabled, is anyone’s guess, at this time.

However, there are other possibilities; poor Internet connection leading to a damaged ISO being downloaded; always check ISO’s for consistency; make sure checksums of ISOs match that of the downloadable .sha256 file.

Or; misconfiguration of the application used to create the Manjaro Installer; whether it be Rufus, Etcher (not generally recommended for Manjaro), or even Ventoy.

On the chance that the latter applies, the following link might be useful for creating a Ventoy USB properly. Remember that if installing as UEFI, the Installer USB must also boot as UEFI.

Regards.

:see_no_evil:

Well, just in case I checked everything again
I don’t have the segure boot enabled, I checked the ISO and it is correct

“b720e0fc06eb03cab841378e8856f462b29450e6a5375906a93987c2fea86286”

and remove the KMS from the “/etc/mkinitcpio.conf” file, however it is impossible to execute the command “sudo mkinitcpio -P” because when I try to execute it, it says that this command does not exist

And again I tried to install Manjaro but I think I got the same error

btw, I tried to send an image showing the integrity of the iso but I got an error when trying to send an image.

In the end I managed to install Manjaro, at least the XFCE version. The only thing I did was install the ISO by image and not by Torrent and without using a program like JDownloader to download it faster, It installed correctly and without errors, although I still don’t understand why it worked? I don’t think JDownloader corrupted my Torrent ISO out of nowhere

So all your debacle boils down to the ISO being incomplete in some capacity.

That is the reason signature and checksum files exist - to make sure the ISO is complete in all aspects.

→ [root tip] [How To] Forum mini guide to verify ISO signature

Posting of images unnecessarily is discouraged, in any case; you only need to confirm the checksums matched, so simply telling us if fine (we don’t need absolute proof).

Cheers.
