The network folder feature on Dolphin has been extremely useful in sharing files between my Windows PC and my Linux PC. Up until recently, this worked really well, but has stopped working. Not sure what’s caused this, but essentially when I try to access the /smb: folder, it just gets stuck on “Loading…” forever. Don’t really know what kind of logs are relevant here, so unfortunately that’s all the information I have.
Welcome to Manjaro!

Please read this:
How to provide good information
and press the three dots … below your post and press the to give us more information so we can see what’s really going on.
Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies… -
An
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text. -
The output to
smbclient --list=MYMODEM --no-pass --debuglevel=3
would be helpful as well.
P.S. If you want to notify me that you did provide this information, please this message and I’ll come back and have another look.
Ah, thank you. Here’s the outputs for both.

My windows PC does use IPV6 as it happens. But the problem is with accessing the smb folder in Network at all. It’s just stuck loading forever any time I try to access it. I guess I could disable IPV6 on my PC as well if that’d help with this? I just don’t see how it’d be a problem if I’ve already connected to it successfully in the past. Thanks for taking the time to help with this.
Can you access the the computer with manjaro installed from the win computer. If it was working before and not now something had to change as in an update from win or manjaro. Is the firewall or samba running.
try setting that to NT1
Disable IPV6 on the router, reboot both Windows and Manjaro and try again.
If that doesn’t help, provide the output to:
mount
Tried both of these. Since I didn’t have access to my home network for a little while, I tried to access the folder on another network. Interestingly enough, I can access the folder just fine. It seems to only happen on my home work. I also noticed that my default IP on the other networks were always my IPV4 address, as opposed to my home address being IPV6, so I figured you might be right, but unfortunately, it didn’t solve the issue.
Anyhow, output to mount:

Your folder is nowhere to be found, so last-ditch effort:
try connecting to IPaddress/sharename
of MYMODEM instead of the name/sharename
…
If even that doesn’t work, what’s the output of:
ls -al /var/cache/samba/gencache.tdb
No idea what changed, but it seems to be working now. I saw an update for samba recently so that might have fixed it. Either way, I appreciate that you took the time to help me with this, so thanks!
