To answer your other questions:
When I start it from the terminal the long pause also happens and there are no messages shown.
It is an external drive that I had connected for putting backup files on.
I disconnected it when I was done. So I thought.
It keeps trying to connect to it when dolphin starts it looks like.
If I hook up the drive it works fine.
Actually after I disabled that one it then hung up the music one.
I disabled both and problem went away.
So do I need to start a new post with this problem?
I looked again I do have WantedBy=multi-user.target in there
I re enabled the music mount and the system hung up on booting this time.
Something is wonky with the systemd mount service.
Maybe my kernel is affecting this . I have been testing with rc kernel.
I will try my other kernel and see if I have the problem there also.
OK I went over my files and they seem correct to me.
I have been struggling with this all morning and can’t get anywhere.
My problem now is the system is taking 2 minutes to boot to the login screen when I activate the .automount file.
I will repost the 2 files and let me know if you see something a miss.
I don’t see any nofail option for systemd mount. It comes up when I search and get fstab examples.
