Following a similar step from another thread, I was able to get Manjaro to boot when installing vmd as a hook. However, upon shutdown, the system would revert to the problem pasted above. The first few times, the problem would be remedied when the Live USB was plugged into the system which would lead to manjaro booting as usual. After another shutdown, however, the system reverted back to the issue I’ve been facing for the past 3 days. Any help would be appreciated!
Just some system info: I have 2x1TB ssds which were previously in raid 0 with windows 11. Since then, I’ve disabled intel VMD and also disabled intel raid on the drives. I’ve wiped them clean using diskpart and am now trying to install manjaro.
edit: did a clean reinstall and still, no improvements whatsoever

Can you provide some system information ?

Can you start Gparted from Manjaro USB stick and show the partitioning/drives ?

When I use Gparted, the drive manjaro previously resided on disappears and can’t be seen through any of the commands above. The only way I can access the drive is through diskpart in windows where I wipe the drive clean. Only then, can manjaro see the drive once more. (Within the image is my second m.2 drive)

do

lsblk -fa

instead.

lsblk -fa:

nvme0n1 has seemingly vanished from existence…

also add output from:
cat /etc/fstab

All yours

it looks like the nvm is completely deleted …

when in the bios, the nvme is still visible. It’s only manjaro that can no longer detect whether the nvme still exists or not ;(

lsblk shows that it is completely empty, not formatted like it was deleted …
the gparted pic shows the same
gparted/lsblk/blkid/fdisk are detecting the disk but its empty

oh nvme1n1 isn’t the target ssd. The target ssd is nvme0n1 which is completely off the radar

you mean this one:

Disk /dev/nvme0n1: 953.87 GiB, 1024209543168 bytes, 2000409264 sectors

yeah that’s the one

you mention something about raid … is AHCI enabled in bios?

Are you sure you properly removed both drives from the RAID 0 array ?
What looks strange is that nvme1n1 is shown in lsblk -fa but not in fdisk -l … and nvme0n1 is shown in fdisk -l but not in lsblk -fa

While in GParted, did you click on the dropdown menu ?

Yeah I have clicked the menu and still, only shows one drive at a time. Also I’m not quite sure if I have fully unraided the drives. I’m quite sure I have since they show as two separate drives on windows!
