So I assume H1 2026 means within the first half of 2026, I hope the ram prices go back to normal so there won’t be a price increase or anything of that sort.
This not aimed at philm, you have been nothing but honest, upfront, a true gentleman and a scholar. But at this stage Orange Pi really do need to push down hard on the accelerator or they will totally miss their window of opportunity to maximize sales.
The price of RAM is high, the price of SSD’s is also high, due to AI consuming most of the global supply. Neither is probably going to change until new production capacity is brought online and that is a slow expensive process that takes years of planning.
My guess is that Valve will have a steam deck 2.0 available to buy at the very latest by 2028, if Orange Pi waits much longer to release their product range, a lot of potential customers may decide not to buy and wait even longer.
