Are there any relevant errors or messages in the kernel (dmesg) log? I had a similar issue with the same sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl driver on an 2021 XPS 13. I needed to install an additional firmware package, specifically the sof-firmware package.

What’s the output of inxi -Fazy?

And as @iracigt , the content of file ~/log_dmesg.txt you get from running sudo dmesg >> ~/log_dmesg.txt (you can delete ~/log_dmesg.txt afterward).

I assume it’s audio speaker output you’re referring, not audio microphone.

A Manjaro user with a similar system reported an audio problem to ALSA recently

The patch for soundwire.conf should be available in new version of package alsa-ucm-conf

Iracigt thank you so much for the heads up, that sorted me out! thank you!!! IT BLOODY WORKED YAHOO!!!

Thank you, I am not that advanced… first steps into linux, I’ve been mac person for over a decade… but not liking their policies and locking hardware… RIGHT TO REPAIR issue… so I decided to switch… and there was no way I was going back to a mediocre OS like MS windows… so here I am! thanks for whatever you wrote… means nothing to me as of yet… but soon!!!

I had the same problem with my Precision 5750 and can confirm that is works again after yesterday’s upgrade. :sunglasses:
