Hello everyone,
I’ve been using manjaro for a few months now and when I first switched over I had no problem plugging any of my controllers and having them work right away however, I hadn’t tried to use one in a month or so and now when I plug in my Xbox One controller it will vibrate once to indicate it’s charging, and then will never connect. The same goes for other Xbox controllers as well as Playstation controllers so I know it’s not a controller issue.
My controllers also no longer show up in lsusb so I’m not really sure where to even start other than just reinstalling my OS. Any help would be appreciated! Here’s my lsusb in case i just missed it.

Try from a live USB environment from a fresh ISO and see if controllers work there. Try from another computer/OS to make sure the hardware is not faulty if you can.
Also follow the guidelines to post support request so people can help

Welcome to Manjaro!
To allow all of us helpful people on this forum TO HELP YOU, we need some basic information about your system. This probably means you described the symptoms of your problem, but now we need some more information to know where the origin of your issue is exactly.
Someone else probably linked you to…
Sorry! I’m gonna go ahead and include the system information at the bottom of this reply in the hopes someone can tell me what happened. I tried the controller in my windows partition and (unsurprisingly) it worked just fine; now when I boot into manjaro the controller also works just fine again! I had already tried upgrading and downgrading kernels without effect, but whatever! It works! Thanks for the help omano

Did you disable Fast Startup , and Hibernation on Windows, so it does not create issues?
PS: make sure you have three backticks ``` before and after your terminal output, you can see what you did is broken currently. Edit your post to fix it.

I had not disabled those, I’ve hardly touched the windows partition since I set it up so if it’s been causing problems I hadn’t put the two together yet.
Thank you so much for the help omano, it’s people like you that make this community so great
Also I fixed my last post and am incredibly embarrassed to say I hadn’t realized a “single quote” and a “back tick” were two different things

Jordshire:
I had not disabled those
Then try to disable them and see if you get a normal behavior back after in different scenarios (reboot, cold boot, and so on).
Hii, Jordshire…
continues even if the plugin is installed immediately, the controller does not detect it, The OS may have generated that plugging setting to enable, then you can try to reset the controller once or try changing the plugin setting.
