Can't use Nvidia Proprietary drivers on Manjaro with my GPU

So no matter what I do I can’t get it to work, I can use the open source driver but it’s packing support for a lot of things. When I install the Nvidia driver the system boots but stays stuck at the Clean blocks text at the beginning. Alt+Ctl+F2 can get me into the console but it won’t boot into GUI. This also happens if I choose to boot Manjaro from a USB with proprietary drivers so I’m at a loss. I’m using a Kepler card by the way and the Legacy 470 drivers.

Provide more info please, as described in

I have GK208B [GeForce GT 730] GPU with nVidia driver v: 470.141.03 on installed OS

Live ISO non-free option only uses latest nVidia driver that cannot work on a Kepler GPU
free is the only option capable of booting to desktop with legacy GPU

nVidia legacy driver can be installed after OS installed

sudo mhwd -i pci video-nvidia-470xx

Or Manjaro Settings Manager > Other Hardware GUI – manjaro-settings-manager -m msm_mhwd
