Cannot set super+number keyboard shortcut to "Switch to workspace" from settings

I tried to change the keyboard shortcuts of “Switch to workspace n” to Super + n from settings menu. But it opens some applications.
This is my inxi output:

following some other forums, I thought the issue might be with dash-to-dock gnome extension but it was disabled, I disabled it again! ( enabling and disabling, hoping to see some changes!!) but that didn’t work. What should I do?

I think my issue is similar to this issue

First I used dconf-editor to change the keybindings at /org/gnome/desktop/wm/keybindings/. But that did not help either. Then I searched keybindings in dconf-editor and found that at /org/gnome/shell/keybindings/ the super + number key was set to “Switch to application”. I disabled them and then it worked.

Tip: use the dconf-editor and change shortcuts at /org/gnome/desktop/wm/keybindings/ to assign up to workspace 12. the setting menu only has up to workspace 4.
