When partitioning the hard disk, I cannot see my external ssd (mSATA), only my internal Western Digital SSD (m2)

Please provide output of sudo fdisk -x after you have connected your external ssd.
Please use ``` on own line, before and after, the output.

Ok, now i think i understand
Make sure you have the correct device name when performing these steps…

:warning: When you follow the steps below, be aware that it will erase ALL data on that disk !

  1. Execute sudo gdisk /dev/sdc
  2. Type o to create a fresh GPT partition table.
  3. Type w to write the fresh GPT partition table to disk.
  4. Disconnect the disk, wait a few seconds, then connect the disk again.
  5. You should now be able to create new partitions on that disk.

it not work QAQ

[manjaro-gnome manjaro]# sudo gdisk /dev/sdc
GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 1.0.5

  APM: not present
  GPT: not present

***************************************************************

Command (? for help): o
This option deletes all partitions and creates a new protective MBR.
Proceed? (Y/N): y

Command (? for help): w

Final checks complete. About to write GPT data. THIS WILL OVERWRITE EXISTING
PARTITIONS!!

Do you want to proceed? (Y/N): y
OK; writing new GUID partition table (GPT) to /dev/sdc.
Warning: The kernel is still using the old partition table.
The new table will be used at the next reboot or after you
run partprobe(8) or kpartx(8)
The operation has completed successfully.

It worked, because you now have a disk with no partitions, it is fresh for you to create new partitions in
Did you perform step 4?

I have done step 4, but it still cannot show my /dev/sdc.
Then I low-level format the SSD, it works!
Thanks for everything.
