When started with external monitor plugged in(VGA), the laptop screen is full black after the boot up screen then the log in screen is just grey. I’ve had stuff like this on other distros as well but those got back to normal when any key is pressed, this time I had to enter password by trial and error and after logging in and in display settings when mirror display option is applied(That’s what i did for other distros) the external monitor shuts off and the laptop screen is just that, full black. I could join displays but then the brightness is said to max and can’t decrease with whatever I tried, applications and terminal commands, nothing has worked till now. The in built brightness control changes brightness of the black laptop screen.
Any help would be appreciated, I am not that well versed in Linux stuff
