Hi all,
I have a partition which is my HDD used for storage and backups. Recently it has become inaccessible withinin dolphin, and I can only cd in as root. I encountered this when first creating the partition but was able to resolve it quickly using chown/chmod. I checked and both the partition /dev/sdb1 and the directory /home/user/backup are owned by my user account and not root. Is there anything I’m missing permissions-wise, or is there something else going on?

edit: This came about when I noticed my HDD was mounted somewhere within /media, I unmounted and mounted it again and it mounted to /backup where it was originally mounted and accessible.
