idk if I should report a bug here…
As the title says, if there is a Android device connected (usb) during boot process, and SDDM is configured to autologin, then KDE will load only the wallpaper and crashes. No panel, no window, no KRunner. But I can use some shortcuts like Meta+E (dolphin), Ctrl+Alt+T (terminal)
This behaviour happens in X11 and Wayland. And this does NOT happens in Fedora/KDE.
If I disable autologin everything is fine. Same is if I boot without a smartphone connected.
Hi and welcome to the Forum
It might be related to the software version used on that distro and this one…
KDE can bug out also y/k…

Provide context
Simply signaling an issue is rarely enough to understand how it occurred. It is thus important to provide details on how it happened:
Detail prior actions leading to the issue.
List solutions and guides you already tried, with links when…

Formatting differences
Discourse – this forum’s engine – uses Markdown to format its posts, and removes “unnecessary” whitespace.
Terminal commands often produce output formatted so that they are better readable by the user, taking advantage of the monospaced font used.
Programming code often rely on indentation to make it more readable.
Using preformatting in Markdown
Markdown includes a pattern to provide preformatting when necessary.
You only need to put the part to f…
If you often have a need to do a “Hard reset ” or “Power off ” to get back to your system, then avoid that when possible by following:
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
This tutorial was created because people are using a hard power off during freezes, so this will teach you how to turn off your computer when everything is frozen using softer means.
So whenever you see someone saying they had to “Power Off” or “Hard Reset” their system without doing a REISUB, please send them here!
