BTRFS Snapper help needed

I’ve been looking for a good tutorial on getting Snapper up and running and this looks good. However I do not have the exact setup as above. I have the below and would like a bit of guidance getting my drive properly setup to use Snapper. Thanks

UUID=B8CE-9771                            /boot/efi      vfat    umask=0077 0 2
UUID=0e474eb0-4b46-41af-8757-51221e62c250 /              btrfs   subvol=/@,defaults,noatime,space_cache 0 1
UUID=0e474eb0-4b46-41af-8757-51221e62c250 /home          btrfs   subvol=/@home,defaults,noatime,space_cache 0 2
UUID=0e474eb0-4b46-41af-8757-51221e62c250 /var/cache     btrfs   subvol=/@cache,defaults,noatime,space_cache 0 2
UUID=0e474eb0-4b46-41af-8757-51221e62c250 /var/log       btrfs   subvol=/@log,defaults,noatime,space_cache 0 2
UUID=0e474eb0-4b46-41af-8757-51221e62c250 /swap          btrfs   subvol=/@swap,defaults,noatime,space_cache 0 2
/swap/swapfile                            swap           swap    defaults,noatime 0 0

The tutorial thread is only to post messages on how to improve the tutorial. :+1:

The support section is for requesting help, so that"s where I moved your message to and added the #btrfs and #snapshot tags and a link to the tutorial you need help with.

This will ensure not only the writer of the tutorial itself gets a message, but also everyone who is subscribed to the above tags! :+1:

@Fabby going by this slightly out dated video I’m assuming it wouldn’t be that hard to simply replace Timeshift with Snapper and reinstall grub-btrfs for good measure. Am I correct in this assumption? Thsanks

Videos are the worst for support because that are easy to make, whereas they’re hard to update, so no one does. Never follow video tutorials for a rolling release like Manjaro unless it’s the exact same version you have and/or <1 month old

Furthermore, I’ve added those tags because I’m still on EXT4, so I can’t help you any further.

Thanks I had no intention of using the tut just wanted to confirm that switch Timeshift for Snapper wouldn’t be an issue on a already installed Manjaro install. You would think someone would of said yes or no by now. Thanks for the help and input.
