Turn printer on and Monjaro installs the printer automatically problem is the scanner.

I have been using Linux for many years but I am new to Nanjaro and Arch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, let’s start with a little housekeeping…

In this forum we discuss issues related to the Manjaro Linux OS;

and, not;

nor;

With that out of the way, I’ll note that it’s often difficult to find Linux drivers for Brother multifunction devices, if they exist at all. However, it may be possible that this 7030 driver from the AUR also supports the 7020:

Plus there is this one:

Or, specifically for scanner functionality, perhaps this one:

Note the usual warnings apply with regard using the AUR:

Be prepared to provide output from commands when asked. It is equally important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem.

Output of the inxi command (with appropriate parameters, and formatted according to forum guidelines) will generate information useful for those wishing to help:

Suggested inxi command (use either):

inxi -zv8 (short-form)
inxi --filter --verbosity=8 (long-form)
inxi man pages (manual)
If running `inxi` within a `chroot` environment
  • Add --color=0 to the long-form command, or…
  • Change the short-form command to inxi -zv8c0

There is several scanner applications - I remember I had a wireless HP multi function device - the only way to make it work was to use simple-scan - available from the repos.

sudo pacman -Syu simple-scan

Launch the app and configure the application to use your scanner’s network address if applicable - an USB connected device work too.

I have limited experience with scanners, but it is also possible you need sane and sane-airscan packages.

Seemingly abandoned topic.
